KMC has two spacious libraries: one for Basic Sciences and the other for Clinical Sciences. They have adequate number of books as well as many general, scientific and medical journals. Multiple copies of text books, internet connection and photocopying facility makes it easier for the students and staff to retrieve the desired information. The libraries also have self-learning areas with videos and CB-ROMS for computer based learning. Additionally, each department has a smaller department library.

To stay advanced and provide students with the best of the latest services, KMC has gone broad band Wi-Fi, enabling students to access the internet through the wireless router, anytime and anywhere in the college. The college is wireless-fidelity enabled. Students in the college can now access internet from anywhere using their wireless devices.

Besides this, the students are transported by college buses to and from the Basic Science block and to other places of academic activities. The college also has a canteen that serves healthy food at very reasonable prices.

Admission Requirements

The admission procedure varies with the program. Student must have passed +2 or intermediate level with a minimum of second division to be eligible to apply for any of the program offered by Kathmandu Medical College (KMC).

Several of our teaching staffs have had considerable teaching experience in Medical Colleges in India and abroad.

The daily out patient attendance has exceeded eight hundred fifty during summer months and the patient admissions show a healthy increase everyday. The student seeking medical college admission should have completed 17 years of age by the 31st of July of the ongoing admission year.
The students should have cleared 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% and above in

4.Biology
Students can apply for Admission Direct Quota seats if they secure 50% and above in all subjects
Students are required to appear in an interview as a part of the selection procedure
Apart from Kathmandu Medical College, Nepal Direct admission, students can also seek admission to the institute under Management Quota Admission. The Management Quota Seat is reserved for those candidates who may have missed the last date for submission of the application or may have failed to secure the required percentage of marks.

For the foreign students or Indian students coming from foreign bases, admission can be sought under the Kathmandu Medical College, Nepal NRI Quota Admission. Admissions to the medical college are also granted under Payment Seat or Management Seat quota.
